Reframing Organizations Teaching Resources
This site contains a variety of materials intended to support instructors using Reframing Organizations. Many of these materials are copyrighted, but instructors in college and university courses are granted automatic permission to use the materials and to make copies for their students, on condition that the copies carry the copyright notice and author credits. For questions about permission for other uses, write to Lee Bolman. Use the same address to submit questions, comments, or suggestions.
COMING SOON! The 4th edition of Reframing Organizations is expected in August. If you are attending the Academy of Management meeting, look for a copy at the Jossey-Bass booth. Chat with Lee and Terry about the new edition during the afternoon break at 2:45, Monday, August 11, at the booth. (Late news: Terry won't be able to get to Anaheim.)
Latest update: Bo Tep of St. Mary's College in California has contributed his thoughts on teaching the frames, including a "Walking Meditation" exercise. Three new higher education cases now available on the Cases page: A Difficult Professor (also available in Spanish), Midstate University School of Business, and University of Missouri (A).
Recent additions: two contributions from Carole Barnett (UNH): "Do-it-themselves Powerpoint," and a case, "Chris Cunningham," plus an article by Joan Gallos, "Teaching About Reframing With Film and Video."
-
Wiley's "Instructor's Companion" site for Reframing Organizations (instructor's manual and Powerpoint slides -- also accessible on the two links below)
-
Teacher's Manual 3rd Edition by Joan V. Gallos (the most popular item on the site, for good reason)
-
Leadership Orientations Self-rating Scale (quick self-rating on the four frames)
-
Test and exam questions (in progress, but not yet available. Check back later in 2007.)
