Reframing Organizations Teaching Resources
This site contains a variety of materials intended to support instructors using Reframing Organizations. Many of these materials are copyrighted, but instructors in college and university courses are granted automatic permission to use the materials and to make copies for their students, on condition that all copies carry the copyright notice and author credits. For questions about permission for other uses, write to Lee Bolman. Use the same address to submit questions, comments, or suggestions.
JUST ADDED: If you use film in your teaching, you may want to check out Business Week's new list of the 30 must-see films for business students.
NOW AVAILABLE! The 4th edition of Reframing Organizations is out, accompanied by a 5-minute promotional video available at Wiley Reframing Video, in which Lee, Dr. Joan Weiner (Drexel), and some friends of the frames (including Dr. Arthur Joo and Dr. Kay Rudisill of Oracle) discuss the book.
The Instructor's Manual, Powerpoint slides and a test bank are on-line at the Wiley instructor's site.
Powerpoint slides for 4th edition are also available here. (The instructor's manual is no longer on this site -- you'll have to go to Wiley for that. Links to the Wiley sites for both 3rd and 4th editions are on this page and in the side navigation bar. We were getting complaints from two directions -- users who didn't want the instructor's guide on a public site where students could find it, and the publisher's legal department. We apologize for any inconvenience. In a pinch, send me an email.)
Errata: Yes, Henry, there was an error in chapter 4 in early printings of the 4th edition. Somewhere in production, some of the diagrams for Mintzberg's structural images got out of sequence. The labels were in the same order that they were in the 3rd edition, but not the diagrams for figures 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4. Alert readers noticed (not-so-alert readers may have just thought, "Whatever.") The authors are embarrassed, but it has been corrected in more recent printings.
